Cargoes transported by railroads with ice and mechanical refrigerated vehicles are charged in accordance with the specified cold chain tariffs, and cargoes transported by railroads with cold plate cold chain logistics are charged in accordance with ice plus 20% of the tariffs. Motorized refrigerated vehicles that do not need to be heated (or heated by the shipper) or refrigerated on the way, their mechanical logistics rates shall be calculated by reducing 20%; as for refrigerated vehicles with or without ice on the way, their rates shall still be calculated according to the freight rate of the refrigerated vehicles. Self-contained refrigerated vehicles, insulated vehicles (i.e. non-refrigerated vehicles) and railroad refrigerated vehicles instead of other wagons for the transportation of non-perishable goods are charged at the applicable freight rates.
The process must rely on specialized vehicles such as refrigerated or frozen vehicles. In addition to having the same body and machinery as trucks, the specialized vehicles for freezing or cold storage must be equipped with freezing or cold storage heat preservation equipment. Special attention should be paid to continuous refrigeration during transportation because microbial activity and respiration are intensified as the temperature rises. If conditions of continuous refrigeration are not ensured at all stages of transportation, the goods may begin to rot and deteriorate at this stage. In transportation, the mode of transportation should be determined according to the type of goods, season of transportation, distance and place of transportation. In the process of transportation, try to organize "door-to-door" direct transportation, improve the speed of transportation, and the temperature should meet the requirements. In order to maintain the refrigerated temperature of frozen goods, they can be stacked closely. Fruits, vegetables and other goods that need to be ventilated to dissipate heat must maintain a certain gap between the goods to ensure the integrity of the goods.
Cold chain logistics transportation requires the transportation link to be in a low-temperature state, such as medium and long-distance transportation and short-distance distribution. It mainly involves low-temperature transportation means such as railroad refrigerated cars, refrigerated trucks, refrigerated ships and refrigerated containers. In the process of refrigerated transportation, temperature fluctuation is one of the main reasons leading to the deterioration of the quality of goods, so the mode of transportation should have good performance, and long-distance transportation is particularly important.
